Enable Permissions

ScanMyHome requires camera permissions to record rooms in your home and digitize them into detailed 3D models.


ScanMyHome recommends notification permissions so that we can send you a notification when your results are ready to view on your device.

How to enable permissions - iOS

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone

  2. Scroll down to select the app ScanMyHome

  3. Enable Camera Permissions:

    • Toggle on the switch next to Camera to enable access (it should turn green)

  4. Enable Notifications Permissions:

    • Tap on Notifications

    • Toggle on the switch next to Allow Notifications (it should turn green)

    • If you don't see it there, go back to the main Settings screen.

    • Tap on Notifications

    • Scroll to find and tap ScanMyHome

    • Toggle on Allow Notifications

How to enable permissions - Android

  1. Open the Settings app:

    • Locate and tap on the Settings icon on your home screen or app drawer

  2. Access App Settings:

    • Scroll down and tap on Apps or Apps & notifications

    • Tap on See all apps or App info to view the list of installed apps

  3. Enable Camera Permissions:

    • Scroll through the list of apps and tap on ScanMyHome

    • Tap on Permissions

    • Tap on Camera and select Allow

  4. Enable Notification Permissions:

    • Tap on Notifications

    • Toggle the switch next to Allow notifications to enable it
